South Mesa Trailhead
South Mesa Trailhead has the perfect combination of mountains, bridge, fence, water, rocks, and open fields. Beautiful light and gorgeous hazy backgrounds. Situated 30 minutes from Broomfield and Boulder, near Eldorado Springs. This location is the most popular with my clients, as it has everything in one location and the best light.
Near the entrance is a rustic bridge, there is an old stone structure with wooden doors and a fence. A river with rocks and areas where you can stand in the river. Many little spots to take beautiful pictures with beautiful light to create that hazy feel I love.
South Mesa Trailhead is so diverse, you can easily get a full portfolio of pictures at just this one location. See sample pictures below on this page.
My assistants will carry all your clothes changes and other gear and help you along. They will have changing pop up tents at your disposal.
How to get there:
1.7 miles west of Highway 93 on Eldorado Springs Drive (Highway 170).
So it’s about a mile before entering Eldorado Springs – you will see a sign on your right. There is a small parking lot. None Boulder residents will need to pay $5 cash for Parking. I will meet you at the parking lot.
